After a disastrous mission, an astronaut returns to Earth to find parts of her life missing, and it appears a horrifying conspiracy may be to blame, according to the trailer Apple TV+ dropped Monday for the upcoming eight-part space-thriller series Constellation.
The streamer describes the series, which stars Noomi Rapace and Jonathan Banks, as an “action-packed space adventure,” but the trailer feels more like horror. Good thing Apple also calls it a “conspiracy-based psychological thriller.” It premieres February 21.
Psychological conspiracy thriller series Constellation debuts on Apple TV+ February 21
Here’s how Apple TV+ describes Constellation, an action-packed psychological thriller debuting February 21 with three episodes (with one to follow each Wednesday through March 27):
Constellation stars Rapace as Jo — an astronaut who returns to Earth after a disaster in space — only to discover that key pieces of her life seem to be missing. The action-packed space adventure is an exploration of the dark edges of human psychology, and one woman’s desperate quest to expose the truth about the hidden history of space travel and recover all that she has lost.
You can watch the spooky trailer for yourself below. The new series looks like a nice addition to the streamer’s roster of space- and sci-fi series. It joins For All Mankind, Silo, Invasion and Foundation and doesn’t look like it will resemble any of them too closely.

Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, You Won’t Be Alone) and Emmy Award nominee Banks (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul) star in Constellation. They appear alongside James D’Arcy (Agent Carter, Oppenheimer), Julian Looman (Emily in Paris, The Mallorca Files), William Catlett (A Thousand and One, The Devil You Know), Barbara Sukowa (Voyager, Hannah Arendt) and two young twin girls, Rosie and Davina Coleman, playing one character, the astronaut’s daughter, Alice. (Does that sound like a creepy horror thing? Yes, it does.)
Peter Harness (Wallander, The War of the Worlds) created the series and Emmy Award winner Michelle MacLaren (Shining Girls, Breaking Bad), Oscar nominee Oliver Hirschbiegel (Downfall, The Experiment) and Oscar nominee Joseph Cedar (Footnote, Our Boys) directed it.
Produced by Turbine Studios and Haut et Court TV, the series was shot principally in Germany.
