Alogic’s new Clarity Pro and Clarity Pro Touch 4K UHD Display Monitors build on the success of the company’s Clarity 4K UHD Display Monitor. Both 27-inch monitors feature an 8MP auto-retractable webcam, an eight-port USB-C hub and built-in speakers. And the Clarity Pro Touch adds a touchscreen, bringing a whole new dimension of usability.

When Mac and iPad users seek new and affordable ways to enhance their setups, adding a big, beautiful screen proves a popular option. Alogic’s 27-inch Clarity Pro and Clarity Pro Touch 4K UHD monitors, which came out June 15, offer some features that even Apple’s pricey monitors don’t.
“With these next-generation monitors, users can now experience the fiesta of colors, the ease and smoothness of 10-point ultra-thin One Glass Solution (OGS) touchscreen [Clarity Pro Touch only] in 4k UHD output and a clutter-free work-desk with in-built eight-port hub,” Alogic said. “The 8MP in-built auto-retractable webcam offers one of the best privacy modes with height adjustments to suit individual requirements.”

Both Clarity Pro and Clarity Pro Touch feature an integrated 8MP auto-retractable webcam. When a video call starts, it automatically slides up from the monitor’s top, then goes down when the call ends.
The pop-out webcam helps ensure privacy and saves users the hassle of toggling a privacy switch. An adjustment wheel lets users tweak the cam’s positioning to different heights and angles.
Both monitors also feature built-in speakers to project audio.
Clarity Pro Touch’s touch-screen experience
Clarity Pro Touch adopts all of Clarity Pro’s features and adds one major feature: a touchscreen. It incorporates intuitive touch controls like you would find on a smartphone, trackpad or tablet. You can download touchscreen drivers from Alogic’s website and use Clarity Pro Touch with compatible capacitive styluses like Alogic’s Alass stylus.
Alogic emphasized the new monitors’ compatibility with Macs, which are so often favored by digital creatives:
Designed to be the ultimate displays for digital creatives, both Clarity Pro and Clarity Pro Touch are engineered to work flawlessly with Macs. With Avg. Delta E values of 0.5 for the Adobe RGB color gamut, creative professionals using Adobe and Apple software can rely on Clarity’s industry standard profiles.
HDR400 color depth ensures images look bright and with sharp 1000:1 contrast ratios, while Clarity’s rear USB hub connects Thunderbolt MacBooks to USB-A and 3.5mm audio accessories they would otherwise require adapters to use.
The company also noted Clarity Pro Touch takes advantage of a growing catalog of creative applications with touchscreen support. That includes Adobe Creative Cloud, design programs like Photoshop and InDesign, and AV production applications including livestream control centers as well as digital audio workstations like Pro Tools and Ableton Live.
The new monitors use the same flexible stand as Alogic’s original Clarity display. The stand allows users to easily switch between landscape and portrait orientations. Plus, a rear eight-port USB hub with USB-A and 3.5mm audio connections helps declutter workstations. Users connecting via USB-C can enjoy up to 65W passthrough charging for a MacBook or other laptop.
Alogic also offers Clarity Pro Touch accessories, available separately, which extend its touchscreen monitor’s capabilities. These include the articulated Clarity Fold Stand ($199), which allows the monitor to be placed at a comfortable angle for use as a tablet for sketching, making music and other endeavors. The Active Surface Stylus Pen ($49.99), which also works with Microsoft Surface devices, offers pinpoint precision for drawing, notetaking and other tasks.
