Apple TV+ scored a record 29 nominations in the upcoming 3rd Annual Children’s & Family Emmy Awards, showcasing a growing influence in family entertainment, the streamer said Friday. The nominations span 10 different programs, highlighting the streamers diverse content portfolio for youngsters.

Leading the pack is revival series Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock. It garnered an impressive 10 nominations. The Jim Henson creation got recognized across multiple categories, including Outstanding Children’s or Family Viewing Series. The show’s puppeteers, Donna Kimball and Karen Prell, received individual nominations for Outstanding Puppetry Performer. The series also earned technical nominations for cinematography, editing, visual effects and costume design. And it saw writing nominations for two episodes: “I’m Pogey” and “This for That.” Plus the show’s musical contribution, “Radishes vs. Strawberries,” got nominated for Outstanding Original Song.
The Velveteen Rabbit, an adaptation of Margery Williams’ beloved children’s book, secured six nominations. The special tells the heartwarming story of a 7-year-old boy named William and his cherished toy. The show got a nomination for Outstanding Fiction Special. Young actor Phoenix Laroche received a nomination for Outstanding Younger Performer. The production also earned recognition for its music direction, editing, sound mixing and costume design.
Jane gets nod for best family-viewing series

The conservation-focused series Jane, inspired by the work of renowned primatologist Dr. Jane Goodall, received three nominations. The show, which follows the adventures of 9-year-old environmentalist Jane Garcia, is nominated for Outstanding Children’s or Family Viewing Series, with additional nominations for directing and sound mixing/editing.
Apple’s animated content also made a strong showing. Frog and Toad, based on Arnold Lobel’s classic book series, earned three nominations, including Outstanding Preschool Animated Series. The Peanuts franchise continues to resonate with audiences, as Snoopy Presents: One-of-a-Kind Marcie and Snoopy Presents: Welcome Home, Franklin received nominations in animation categories.
Other nominated series include:
- Lovely Little Farm, recognized for Outstanding Preschool Series
- Interrupting Chicken, based on David Ezra Stein’s Caldecott Honor-winning books
- CURSES!, a family adventure series about breaking an ancestral curse.
- The stop-motion series Shape Island received recognition for its sound mixing and editing in the episode “The Winter Blues.”

Building on previous success
These nominations build on Apple TV+’s previous Children’s & Family Emmy Awards success. The streaming service won four awards in 2023 for shows including Pinecone & Pony and Life by Ella. The ceremony, organized by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, celebrates excellence in children’s and family programming while promoting creative leadership in television industry achievements.
