While it’s only about half the Golden Globe nominations Apple TV+ racked up in the awards for 2024, the streamer managed to snag eight nominations this year. The 2025 nominations include no movies. But three nods go to TV series Slow Horses, two apiece honor Disclaimer and Shrinking, and one goes to Presumed Innocent. This edition marks the Golden Globes’ 82nd year.
Apple TV+ scores Golden Globe nominations for Slow Horses, Disclaimer, Shrinking and Presumed Innocent
Leading the pack in Golden Globe nods for Apple TV+ shows is critically acclaimed spy thriller Slow Horses, which secured three nominations. The series, already renewed for a sixth season, competes for Best Television Drama. And Gary Oldman received a nomination for Best Male Actor in a Television Drama Series for his portrayal of Jackson Lamb. Jack Lowden rounds out the show’s nominations with a nod for Best Supporting Male Actor.
The hit comedy series Shrinking earned two nominations. They recognize both its leading and supporting actors. Jason Segel, who plays a grieving therapist trying unconventional methods with his patients, gets the nod for Best Male Actor in a Television Comedy Series. And screen legend Harrison Ford gets one for Best Supporting Male Actor for his role as the sharp-tongued but caring Dr. Paul Rhodes.
And psychological thriller Disclaimer makes its awards season debut. It stars Oscar winners Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline. Both actors received nominations for their performances in the Limited Series categories, adding prestige to Apple TV+’s growing catalogue of star-powered content.
And finally, legal thriller series Presumed Innocent picked up a best actor nomination for star Jake Guillenhaal. He won’t appear in the show’s second season, though he will help produce it.

Where and when to watch the Golden Globes
This year’s eight nominations mark a decrease from last year’s impressive number of nods, including movies (and one win). But the nominations highlight Apple TV+’s ability to consistently deliver high-quality programming across different genres. Those cover tense espionage dramas, touching comedies, gripping limited series and more.
For subscribers interested in catching up on these acclaimed shows before the ceremony, they’re all streaming on Apple TV+. Award winners will be revealed during the 82nd Annual Golden Globes award ceremony. It broadcasts live on CBS and Paramount+ on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at 5 p.m. Pacific.
Past Golden Globe success has often translated into increased visibility and viewership for Apple TV+ shows, making these nominations particularly significant for both the platform and its subscribers.
