In this one-day extended Apple Watch Ultra sale, you can take home Apple’s beefiest watch for as low as $509.99 $529.99. While up from the lowest price ever, it’s still one of the best prices we’ve ever seen on an Ultra, and a great deal for sure … although there are a few caveats.
Apple Watch Ultra sale
When Apple unveiled the Apple Watch Ultra in 2022, we called it a “big, bulky, beautiful beast.” And it is. Designed for endurance athletes, it sports a much more rugged look than the original Apple Watch. And because it harbors a (relatively) gigantic battery inside its beefy body, the Ultra lasts up to 36 hours — and that’s without low-power mode!
The Ultra’s 49mm titanium case also encloses a flat sapphire crystal screen that’s far brighter than the regular Apple Watch. And a customizable Action button puts a favorite feature at your fingertip.
Plus, every Apple Watch Ultra comes with cellular connectivity (a pricey add-on for the regular smartwatch) and an emergency siren that might save your bacon if you ever tumble over the edge of a mountain trail.
All that goodness comes at a price, though: The Apple Watch Ultra lists for $799.
So, about those caveats …
1.) This flash sale is for the original Apple Watch Ultra, released last year. It’s still a fantastic smartwatch, but it’s not the latest model. (This year’s second-gen Apple Watch Ultra comes with some rather minor upgrades.)
2.) This is also a refurbished model. Amazon bargain site Woot! lists it as “grade A refurbished.” (If you’re dead-set on buying a new model, you can get one from Best Buy, where the original Apple Watch Ultra is on sale for $639.)
3.) The only bands available in this Apple Watch sale are Apple’s Ocean band, which is designed for scuba divers, surfers and anybody who digs its groovy style. (I think it looks cool.) The water-ready band comes in midnight, white or yellow.
4.) To get the maximum discount, you must be an Amazon Prime member. That nets you an extra $20 off the regular sale price of $529.99. Even without the extra Prime discount, this is a great deal. (Amazon currently sells refurbished Apple Watch Ultras for $549.) Update: The extra Prime discount has expired.
5.) The sale ends tonight. Woot! lists the deal as “a day left or until sold out.”
Those caveats aside, the original Apple Watch Ultra is still a killer smartwatch. Cult of Mac publisher Leander Kahney said as much in a rather straightforward opinion piece/review entitled “3 reasons you should buy an Apple Watch Ultra.”
Save on a refurbished Apple Watch Ultra
If all that sounds good to you, you should jump on this Apple Watch Ultra sale before it ends. (Note caveat No. 5 above).
