Apple’s Education Store has received a big visual makeover. The new design is similar to Apple’s online store, which switched to the new theme in 2021.
Back then, Apple only updated its main online store, with the Education Store sticking to the old theme.
Apple’s new Education Store looks a lot like its online store now
The new Education Store proudly boasts about hosting “the most powerful tools for learning.” If you are an eligible student or teacher, you can get a nice discount on a new Mac, iPad, or other Apple products and accessories.
The revamp is only limited to the design, with education product pricing remaining unchanged. Depending on the device you are buying, you can save up to $100. The new M2 iPad Air and M4 iPad Pro are already listed for sale with discounts of up to $100 off. On AppleCare+ plans, Apple offers a 10% discount to students.
Discounts are not available on iPhones and other pro Apple devices.
The new homepage highlights the “Apple Store difference” below the various products and their discounted pricing. This includes paying for your purchase over time, two-hour delivery on select products, free engraving, and more. Apple also highlights how you can get the most out of your gear by linking to various how-tos, tools, and courses.
Education Store purchases require no additional verification
Apple’s revamped Education Store has gone live just as students graduate high school. It also comes a week or two ahead of Apple’s yearly Back to School promo going live. Typically, the company’s Back to School offerings go live in early June.
In the US, buying a product from Apple’s Education Store requires no special confirmation. But in the UK, EU, and other parts of the world where the store is available, you’ll have to confirm your eligibility using a UNiDays account before placing an order.
