Carrying out repairs on your new iPhone 16 or iPhone 16 Pro is now easier than before. You can purchase the repair parts and tools for the latest iPhones from Apple’s Self Service Repair store.

The replacement components and tools are available to customers in the US and parts of Europe.

Buy genuine iPhone 16 replacement parts directly from Apple

Apple’s Self Service Repair store sells replacement parts and the necessary tools to repair your iPhone or Mac. The company makes these components available to users who want to carry out Do-It-Yourself (DIY) repairs. The store provides them a way to easily obtain original replacement Apple-certified components.

Apple launched the iPhone Self Service Program in April 2022. The move came after the company bowed down to regulatory pressure to allow users to repair their devices. At launch, the company sold parts for iPhone 12, iPhone 13, and iPhone SE 3. In the years since then, it added parts for iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 series.

Now, nearly 1.5 months after the iPhone 16’s release, Apple Self Repair Store stocks parts for the new iPhones. First spotted by MacRumors, the store lists almost all major replacement components, including the battery, rear glass, Face ID system, and more.

Rent out the required tools for the job

You might find the pricing of the replacement components from Apple on the higher side. though. For example, a replacement iPhone 16 battery and screw kit costs $99. Similarly, the rear camera and screw kit costs $169. You can return the broken part to Apple to receive a credit.

Apple rents out the necessary tools for a week to carry out the DIY repairs on an iPhone 16. While renting the tool kit will cost $49, the company will hold a temporary authorization on your card for the full replacement value.

To help you with your DIY repair adventures, Apple also offers repair manuals. But if you don’t have the expertise, it’s best not to carry out the repairs on your iPhone yourself.
