Supposed CAD renders of the Apple Watch Series 10 leaked online Wednesday, revealing a device with a bigger display than its predecessors. The renders show Apple’s upcoming smartwatch with a 2-inch display.

Despite the bigger screen, the Apple Watch Series 10 will seemingly be smaller than the Apple Watch Ultra 2.

Apple Watch Series 10 could pack a really big display

Over the last year, multiple reports suggested that the Apple Watch Series 10 could bring big design changes. A recent report claimed Apple’s next smartwatch could pack a larger display into a thinner chassis.

The CAD renders, “sourced from industry insiders” and leaked by 91Mobiles, seem to corroborate such rumors. They indicate the Apple Watch Series 10 could feature a larger 2-inch screen with slimmer bezels surrounding it.

For comparison, the current 44mm Apple Watch Series 9 packs a 1.7-inch screen. And if these CADs prove accurate, the Apple Watch Series 10 screen would be even bigger than the Apple Watch Ultra’s 1.92-inch OLED panel.

Apparently, the upcoming Apple Watch’s case will measure roughly 46 mm x 39.7 mm x 11.6mm. That puts its physical dimensions between the Series 9 and the Apple Watch Ultra. Presumably, there would be a smaller variant to replace the current 41mm Apple Watch Series 9. It could sport a 1.8-inch display, making it about 0.2 inches bigger than the existing 41mm Apple Watch’s screen.

No other major design changes planned

Aside from the bigger display and larger dimensions, it appears Apple does not plan any other big design changes on the 2024 Apple Watch. The Digital Crown, speaker holes and side button will be located in the same places as before. The Apple Watch band system also appears unchanged, though Apple might switch to a larger sizing for a better fit.

Apple has not significantly revamped its smartwatch lineup in years. The last several upgrades focused on internal improvements and introduced few other changes. A bigger display with smaller bezels should give the Apple Watch Series 10 a more modern look.
