You can now buy a refurbished M3 MacBook Air directly from Apple in the US. The company recently updated its Certified Refurbished store, listing the new Air.
Depending on your desired model, you can save up to $200 on the refurbished M3 MacBook Air.
M3 MacBook Air now listed on Apple’s refurbished store
Apple unveiled its newest MacBook Air in early March of this year, sporting the M3 chip. In addition to the faster SoC, the new Air ships with faster Wi-Fi 6E support and can power two external displays simultaneously.
Buying a new 13-inch MacBook Air with M3 chip will cost you $1,099 before taxes. If you go the refurbished route, you can get the entry-level model for $929, saving $170. Up to $200 in savings are available on configurations with a 10-core GPU, 16GB RAM, and storage. Similarly, you can save $200 on the 15-inch MacBook Air and get the base model for $1,099 instead of $1,299.
Apple frequently adds new configurations, so if the model you want is not currently available, check the store regularly. For now, the refurbished M3 MacBook Airs are only available in the US but their availability should expand to other markets soon.
With this addition, Apple’s entire MacBook lineup is now available through its refurbished store. The M3/Pro MacBook Pros went up for sale through the refurbished store in February 2024.
Buy refurb and save money
If you are on a tight budget, you should consider buying Certified Refurbished Apple products. Before being listed, all devices undergo Apple’s rigorous refurbishment process, which includes thoroughly cleaning them and installing a new battery.
All refurbished devices come with a standard one-year Apple warranty, which you can extend further using AppleCare+. But before buying from Apple’s refurbished store, check Amazon or other third-party retailers for deals. In many cases, thanks to heavy discounts, you can get a brand-new MacBook at an even lower price from them.
