Redditor sosohype showcased the colorfully lighted dual-display MacBook Pro setup in a post entitled, “Not necessarily my prettiest, but my most productive setup.” They run a loaded M4 Pro MacBook Pro (48GB memory, 1TB SSD storage) with a 27-inch 5K Studio Display next to a 27-inch LG 4K gaming display in portrait mode on the right.

“Not necessarily my prettiest, but my most productive setup,” they said. And they called the 4K LG display the “best gaming monitor I’ve ever owned.”

LG builds what it calls RGB sphere lighting into the back of the 27GN950 monitor, which is, indeed, made for serious gamers. It features intense colors and blazing speed in terms of response and refresh rates.

“The world’s first 1ms Nano IPS with UHD 4K resolution, it combines color intensity and purity with ultra-fast 1ms response rates,” the company said of the display upon its release in 2020. “Featuring custom gaming control, RGB sphere lighting, fast 144Hz refresh rates and NVIDIA G-SYNC and Radeon FreeSync compatibility to minimize tearing and stutter — it’s cutting-edge tech to give you the edge.”

And even at four years old, the display still packs solid gaming chops.
