“As good, long-time Mac users we remember the bad old days of networking, where getting two Macs to talk to each other was all but impossible” What? You must be going way back. I remember installing Farallon’s PhonNET but man that was like 19 years ago.
The only time I can remember when networking wasn’t pretty reliable between Macs would have been around the time of Mac OS 9/Mac OS X when some Macs were using TCP/IP based sharing, and older Macs were using an older Appletalk.
Previous to that, and after that, I’ve always found it more reliable than filesharing with other platforms.
Almost forgot to mention that the article was good (except for the filesharing crack). Something I’d missed in the talk about the new iPhoto, and something I’m looking forward to using.
