Zero balance required across your digital Apple accounts
As Apple notes in the footnote of the promo, you must have zero balance on all your digital Apple accounts, including gift cards and store credits. Otherwise, that balance is used first and then your Apple Card.
By default, Apple Card provides up to 3% cash back on every transaction.
You can use the cash back to spend on any purchase done through Apple Pay. Or use Apple Cash to send money to your friends or family. Apple regularly runs such promotional offers for new Apple Card customers, offering higher than usual cash back.
Launched in August 2019, Apple Card exclusively remains available in the US. Apple has partnered with Goldman Sachs for the card, with a recent report suggesting the bank wants to exit the deal after suffering massive losses.
