Not being huge PC gamers, we aren’t particularly familiar with NZXT, a company based in Los Angeles that makes high-performance gaming PCs and the gear that goes with them. So when we saw today’s M1 Mac mini setup looking like a giant ad for NZXT, we thought we’d give it a look. The user loves his NZXT Relay lineup of gear, including powerful speakers and a wired headset with a surprisingly functional stand.

NZXT Relay gaming gear brings the fun to M1 Mac mini setup

Streaming video enthusiast, gamer and Redditor ZenoviCSGO (“Zen”) showcased the fun setup in a post entitled, “Minimal Productivity Desk Setup.” Located in India, Zen swears by his M1 Mac mini, which is getting old but still does what he needs it to do. It drives a 27-inch MSI 4K display. But after that, nearly everything in the “minimal productivity” setup — so named because it’s all about fun, most likely — is from NZXT, aside from the Logitech MX Master 2S mouse. That’s includes a NZXT Function mechanical gaming keyboard, but today’s focus is on the Relay lineup of audio products. Zen recommends them in his video, below.

NZXT Relay PC Gaming Desktop Speakers

This pair of near-field monitor speakers looks like a good value, and 40 watts per box for a total of 80W is no joke. They’re 24% off at Amazon right now, at $189.99. See the gear links list below.

  • Designed for close-proximity listening with a high dynamic range that brings detailed in-game soundscapes to life.
  • 80 watts of total power (40 watts per speaker) fills the room with immersive, full-range sound for games, music or movies.
  • Compact enough to fit comfortably on a desktop, but large enough to provide powerful sound.
  • Speaker enclosure is constructed from high-quality MDF to minimize resonance and distortion for clear, vibration-free audio.
  • Features 3.5 mm and RCA inputs to connect to a wide range of devices for versatile use and seamless integration into any setup.

NZXT Relay Wired PC Gaming Headset

Again, value looks promising in this headset, a nice set of headphones with a mic. They’re certified for hi-res audio, include Spatial Audio and cost $99, a reasonable price compared to many high-quality cans.

  • Discover an expanded frequency range and heightened detail for gaming and music with Hi-Res Audio certified by Japan Audio Society.
  • Sonically accurate drivers provide a neutral sound profile and a true-to-original listening experience, so every in-game sound can be heard independently.
  • Enjoy long-lasting comfort with a lightweight, adjustable frame that evenly distributes weight.
  • DTS Headphone:X offers precise 3D spatial audio and a realistic sound experience to locate in-game sound cues like explosions, footsteps and distant conversations.
  • Choose preset sound modes or custom-tune settings like EQ, surround sound and mic monitoring with NZXT CAM software.

NZXT Relay SwitchMix PC Gaming Headset Stand & Audio Mixer

And this item is fascinating. Zen demonstrates it in the video below. It’s a stand for the headset above, but it also handles automatic switching from speakers to headset, audio mixing and volume control. At 23% off at Amazon right now, it’s $99. So $200 for both the headset and the highly capable stand seems like a good buy for gamers.

  • Switch between headset and speaker audio by placing or removing a headset from the pressure-activated button on top of the stand.
  • Achieve an ideal blend of in-game immersion and team comms by adjusting game and voice levels with the studio-grade mixer.
  • Experience premium audio quality with the 24-bit / 96 kHz DAC, enhancing connected devices for an optimized listening experience.
  • Enjoy immersive DTS 7.1 surround sound on compatible devices, delivering lifelike 3D spatial audio for enriched in-game soundscapes.
  • Stand stores headset when not in use for an organized desktop.
