Pitaka designed the protective and stylish new MagEZ Folio 2 for iPad Mini 6 and the new iPad Mini 7 with A17 Pro chip, the company said Monday.

“The MagEZ Folio 2 is designed to enhance the portability, versatility and protection of the latest iPad Mini models,” Pitaka told Cult of Mac. “With a focus on flexibility and user convenience, this new folio cover is set to redefine the iPad experience and is available in black, white and blue color options.”

So the main thing that stands out about MagEZ Folio 2, which fits iPad mini 6 and the new iPad mini 7, is its multi-angle stand system. It supports both landscape and portrait orientations. And the case’s stable triangular structure enables four precisely engineered viewing angles, each optimized for specific use cases:

  • 34-degree angle optimized for gaming sessions, perfectly complementing the A17 Pro chip’s powerful graphics capabilities.
  • 53-degree angle ideal for creative work, supporting Apple Pencil functionality including the hover feature.
  • 57-degree viewing angle for video content consumption.
  • 62-degree angle designed for extended reading sessions.

Premium construction meets practical protection

Despite offering robust protection, the MagEZ Folio 2 maintains a slim profile at just 2.55mm thick. And it weighs a mere 5 ounces (142 grams). The case features durable PU leather construction with a soft microfiber lining for device protection, Pitaka said.

And one of the folio’s thoughtful additions is the hidden magnetic strap designed for Apple Pencil storage. The feature secures the Apple Pencil during charging while maintaining the case’s sleek aesthetic when not in use. The strap can be discreetly folded away, preserving the folio’s minimalist design.

Advanced magnetic technology

And speaking of magnets, Pitaka implemented a magnetic system throughout the folio. It ensures secure attachment to the iPad mini with no need of another case. The dual-sided magnetic design provides stability while allowing for quick attachment and removal, enhancing the user experience during daily use, Pitaka said.
