If you’ve been putting off buying an Apple tablet because you were waiting for a good deal, grab your wallet. It’s Amazon Prime Day so you can save a bundle on the latest and greatest iPad Pro or iPad Air.
UPDATE: While Prime Day is over, you chance to save on an Apple tablet is not. Many of the deals are still available.
iPad: You know you want one
Looking for a computer to lean back on the couch and watch videos? iPad. Need a computer to take handwritten notes on? iPad. Want to create amazing digital art? iPad. Need a very portable computer for business communication? iPad.
Apple’s tablet is useful in so many ways. It’s a combination of powerful and portable that’s hard to beat.
And there’s a range of sizes and price levels to choose from. Serious users can get the super-thin iPad Pro with either a 13- or 11-inch beautiful OLED display. It runs the new M4 processor — before any Mac gets this chip! It’s ready to handle the new Apple Intelligence AI-powered features, too. I reviewed it (and love it).
Or save a bit and get an M2-powered iPad Air, which comes in 13- and 11-inch options. It uses an Apple M2 processor so it’s not quite as speedy, though. Still, it supports Apple Intelligence, too.
Those looking for a real bargain can pick up the basic iPad 10, while the iPad mini 6 is ever so small. Just be aware there’s a good chance improved versions of these latter tablets are possibly coming in only a few weeks.
But whatever iPad version is right for you, it’s on sale for Prime Day.

The base model 13-inch M4 iPad Pro offers 256GB of storage and ordinarily sells for $1,299. Not during (post) Prime Day, though. The cost is $1,149 $1,199 after an 8% discount and a $50 coupon.
And the 11-inch M4 model is 10% off and the same $50 coupon. Instead of $999, it’s $849 $898 — a nice discount.
Moving down to the next tier of Apple tablets, (post) Prime Day cuts the price of the 13-inch M2 iPad Air with 128GB of storage from $799 to $738.99 $749 — an 8% 6% discount. Just note the exact discount varies depending on what casing color you choose.
The 11-inch version is ordinarily $599, but it’s down to $545 $549 after a 9% 8% discount.
iPad 10 with its 10.9-inch display is always Apple’s bargain tablet, and Amazon lowered the cost even more. Rather than $349 it’s down to $299 — save 14%.
And iPad mini 6 got a serious price drop for Prime Day. It’s just $349.99 after a whopping 30% cut.
Sorry to repeat myself, but these aren’t permanent price cuts. Prime Day ends soon causing these iPad models to jump in cost.
