The itty-bitty Samsung USB Type-C Flash Drive is now available with up to 512GB of storage capacity — twice as much as before. And the company’s miniature USB-A version also doubled in capacity.

A flash drive is a convenient, secure and inexpensive way to carry around a collection of the PDFs or DOCs you need for work or school. You always have access to them on whatever computer you want to use, whether you have an internet connection or not. Or use the drive to make a backup of critical files also stored in iCloud.
And there’s no reason to carry around a bulky drive when Samsung offers tiny ones. The Samsung Type-C USB Flash Drive is too small to be called a “thumb drive.” At 1.3 inches by 0.6 in. by 0.3 in., it’s more like the size of half a pinkie.
Despite its miniature dimensions, the peripheral is now available with up to 512GB of storage capacity.
The USB-C version is compatible with almost every Apple computer, even the new iPhone 15 series. Or there’s a USB-A version for those who want to go old school: the Samsung Fit Plus USB 3.2 Flash Drive.
It’s a svelte 0.9 inches by 0.7 in. x 0.3 inches. That’s just about small enough to stay in laptops while they’re carried around. And it also is now available in up to 512GB of storage.
No matter which version of the flash drive you choose, it supports USB 3.2 Gen 1. Samsung promises data transfer speeds of up to 400 MB per second.
