The Satechi Mac mini M4 Stand & Hub with SSD Enclosure expands the capabilities of Apple’s tiny new desktop with additional front-facing ports and more storage. It even makes pressing the computer’s hidden power button easier.
Satechi gave a sneak peek of the product in November, but on Monday revealed the full specifications, including a price and release date.
Go to the max with Satechi Mac mini M4 Stand & Hub with SSD Enclosure
The Mac mini M4 comes with an array of ports, but most of them are on the back. That’s not the most convenient place to plug in a thumb drive or maybe a camera. More ports users can easily reach would be welcome.
That’s why the front of the Satechi Mac Mini M4 Stand & Hub with SSD Enclosure includes a trio of USB-A ports. Two support USB 3.2 for transfers up to 10Gbps, plus the third uses USB 2.0. There’s also an SD card reader for transfers up to 312MB/s.
On the inside is an SSD enclosure that supports up to 4TB of NVMe storage. It’s a simple way to expand the storage capacity of the Mac, or store Time Machine backups.
Designed to match the miniature Mac

The hub fits exactly under the redesigned M4 Mac mini; the exterior edges are aluminum to match the look of the desktop.
“Emphasizing clean lines and a clutter-free workspace, this stand is the perfect companion to Apple’s latest innovation, enhancing both functionality and design,” says Satechi.
The power button on the bottom of the M4 Mac mini is somewhat controversial feature. This stand sits below the computer and features a cutout for this button, allowing it to be easily reached.
In addition, the hub features bottom heat-dissipating vents and a recessed top area for improved cooling for the desktop.
Coming soon
The Satechi Mac Mini M4 Stand & Hub with SSD Enclosure is scheduled to launch with limited availability on February 17, 2025. Expect full availability in March.
You’ll need to pay $99.99 for it, though Satechi offers a 20% discount for those who sign up on its website to be notified about the launch.
The product was unveiled at CES 2025, a giant trade show going on this week in Las Vegas. More announcements from Satechi could be imminent, and it already makes a wide array of Apple-related products.
