The model with a beefier M4 processor — with a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU — drops to just $1,349 on Amazon in this early Black Friday deal. M4 iMac is slim and fast
Featuring Apple’s newest M4 chip, all three models of the 2024 iMac bring a significant jump in performance. Apple calls the M4 iMac the “world’s best all-in-one for AI,” and rightfully so. The machine retains its predecessor’s slim, svelte look but delivers even better performance. Thanks to the “world’s fastest CPU core,” the M4 iMac is up to 1.7x faster than the M1 iMac. The upgraded GPU is 2.1x faster, while the Neural Engine is more than three times as fast.
Cult of Mac’s review called the M4 iMac a “stunning and powerful all-in-one.” It comes in seven colors and is a surprisingly capable all-in-one desktop machine.
Apple sells the M4 iMac in three basic configurations, with RAM and SSD upgrades available:
- 8-core CPU/8-core GPU/16GB unified memory/256GB SSD
- 10-core CPU/10-core GPU/16GB unified memory/256GB SSD
- 10-core CPU/10-core GPU/16GB unified memory/512GB SSD
The performance improvements make the M4 iMac notably faster than previous iMacs in almost all tasks. Like other M4 Macs, the 2024 iMac ships with 16GB of base memory. And you can configure them with up to 32GB of RAM.
Another highlight of the M4 iMac is the 12MP Center Stage camera with Desk View support. This allows the “wide-angle lens to simultaneously show the user and a top-down view of their desk, which is useful for educators presenting a lesson to students, or creators showing off their latest DIY project,” says Apple.
Save big on the M4 iMac
At $1,299, the base model M4 iMac already offers great value for money. Despite the bump in RAM and faster SoC over last year’s model, it starts at the same price. Amazon further sweetens the deal by taking an additional $150 off the machine, dropping its price to $1,149.99.
If you want more power, get the M4 iMac with the 10-core M4 CPU. This variant retails for $1,499, but after a $150 discount, you can get it for $1,349. An identical price drop on the M4 iMac with 512GB storage drops its price to $1,549.99. Even the variant with 24GB memory gets a sweet 8% discount, bringing its price down to $1,744 from $1,899.
