Rabbids: Legends of the Multiverse from Ubisoft is a deck building game featuring a crazy collection of characters exploring five outlandish universes. It just launched for iPhone, Mac and more.
It is joined by three classic games that are all now playable via Apple Arcade.
See the Apple Arcade advantages
Rather than paying individually for games, or enduring irritating calls to make in-app purchases in “free” games, Apple Arcade offers over 200 choices for a single $6.99-per-month fee.
Additional games used to debut on the service weekly, but a new strategy has each month’s new titles launch at the same time. That includes four fresh options on Thursday.
Rabbids: Legends of the Multiverse by Ubisoft
The only original game added is Ubisoft’s Rabbids: Legends of the Multiverse.
Apple Arcade says:
“Embark on the wackiest journey as the mischievous Rabbids run amok across the multiverse. In this zany new adventure, players must gather their wits and build the ultimate deck, featuring an eclectic mix of knights, ninjas, pirates, cowboy Rabbids, and more. They will explore five outlandish universes, from the Noodles Valleys of Dragon Land to the mighty Mount Rabbidsmore, encountering absurd Rabbids at every turn.”
As noted, it’s a deck-building game in which players collect virtual cards to assemble a team.
Rabbids: Legends of the Multiverse is in the App Store now. It offers solo play or two players, and supports iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV.
Plus three App Store classics
To beef up the number of games in its subscription service, Apple adds previously released titles and calls these App Store Greats. A “+” is added to the name, and the purchase price is $0.
Another difference between the new and the original version is that any in-app purchases have been stripped out. Apple Arcade doesn’t allow them. The same goes for ads, loot boxes and invasive player tracking.
Three of these Greats launched June 6.
