The just-announced Satechi Mac mini M4 Stand & Hub with SSD Enclosure adds an array of front-facing ports to Apple’s slimmed-down desktop. There’s also room inside for an NVMe SSD.

The multi-purpose accessory is designed to match the size and appearance of the Mac.

Make your Mac mini more like a mini workstation

The Mac mini M4 has a beautiful, minimalist design, which is great until you want to plug in a thumb drive or maybe a camera. Then more ports you can easily reach would be welcome.

Satechi Mac mini M4 Stand & Hub with SSD Enclosure to the rescue. Place this underneath the macOS computer to add front-facing USB-A ports. A full-size SD card reader will join them.

“The premium aluminum design, combined with heat-dissipating vents, ensures peak performance while maintaining the sleek, minimalist aesthetic Satechi’s products are known for,” said the accessory-maker.

Hidden inside will be an enclosure capable of holding up to 4TB of NVMe storage. Data transfers will reach up to 10Gbps for quick access to files and media.

All that said, Thursday’s pre-announcement is light on details as Satechi continues to work out the final specifications.

“This stand is the perfect companion to Apple’s latest innovation, elevating both form and function,” promised Satechi.

Coming in spring 2025

Although Satechi pre-announced the Mac mini M4 Stand & Hub with SSD Enclosure on Thursday, the launch isn’t scheduled until sometime in Spring 2025.

It also kept mum about the exact price for the product, but did note there’ll be a cheaper version for those not interested in the SSD enclosure.
