Anker Solix unveiled two cool outdoor products Monday at CES 2025 in Las Vegas: Its first solar-powered beach umbrella, and an upgraded, high-performance electric cooler in three sizes, designed for extended outdoor use.

They can work together, and both charge other gadgets, so you can be tech king of your beach trip or barbecue come summertime.

The new Solix Solar Umbrella’s sunshade incorporates Perovskite solar cells, delivering 100W output to other devices in two ways. One is through XT-60 connection, for items like the cooler below. The other uses USB-C ports, for gadgets like iPhones and iPads. The technology achieves 30% better solar power generation in bright conditions and doubles efficiency in low light compared to traditional solar panels, the company said.

The umbrella features IP67 waterproof protection. It’s designed for easy transport with a lightweight, foldable construction. Anker said it should be out by summer, but did not list a price.

Complementing the Solar Umbrella, the new EverFrost 2 Electric Cooler introduces several innovations in portable refrigeration. You can get it in three capacities: 23 liters, 40L and 58L. The flagship 58L model features dual compartments for simultaneous freezing and cooling. The cooler employs FrostFlow Air-Cooled Refrigeration technology, achieving cooling speeds 30% faster than conventional methods, Anker said.

The EverFrost 2’s detachable 288Wh LFP battery provides up to 52 hours of cooling, with the option to double duration to 104 hours using a second battery. Each battery unit doubles as a power bank, featuring 60W USB-C and 12W USB-A charging ports. The cooler maintains temperatures between -4°F and 68°F. And it supports multiple charging methods, including solar, AC, car socket and USB-C.

The cooler includes 6-inch wheels, a convertible handle-tray and IPX3 water resistance. Users can monitor and adjust settings remotely through the Anker app. The company will also release accessories including a Roadtrip Kit, Hooked-on tray, and specialized Beach wheels.

Availability

The 40L ($749) and 58L ($999) EverFrost 2 models will be available for pre-order on Anker.com starting February 21, with retail release on March 7. The 23L ($699) variant will launch in Q2 2024.

The Solar Umbrella is scheduled for release by summer 2025.
